All crime is terrible, but as frustrating as it is, has some reason's for happening, because there is an inevitable confrontation.
This wasn't a situation of crime, this was killing a kid walking to his Dad's house, because he wore the wrong garment, this was pure racism. The police literally told Zimmerman to BACK OFF because he already had phone-contact with the police, yet he didn't, he was out for blood, and killed a kid, because he looked 'suspicious'.
This case shows a bad mix of racism(being black, and wearing a hoodie is the only 'suspicious' behaviour they found), and vigilante justice, a neighborhood watchman trying to make a statement, against police advice.
The reason this is getting national attention is NOT because of the race of the shooter or victim!
It's because the cops have utterly failed to carry out their duties!
You know that line in the Pledge Of Allegiance that goes "And liberty and justice for all"? Yeah, that's actually supposed to mean something. Treyvon isn't getting justice, and no one is saying why. The cops simply shrug say Zimmerman claimed self defense and claim that's good enough for them.
Well, it's not good enough for me, or for many other people - White, Black, Asian, etc. We're ALL upset about this.
The cops are supposed to do their job regardless of the color of the people involved and when they don't, they better be ready to give more of an explanation than "Self defense? That's good enough for me."
this is not a black, white, hispanic or any other race issue.
this is an issue of a person who was defending himself from attack and used the appropriate force to do so. florida law allow this. that law should be in every state in the country.
If he had been he would have been arrested already and no one ever would have heard his name .
Who cares the guy reduced the surplus population.
I haven't heard all the facts so I make no judgement except that a young man is dead and shouldn't be. Black on Black crime happens everyday in America so that's why I asked the question. I am Black.
