I think that Clyde the man Kate was talking to is their dad. I think he was probably abusive and they got tired of it and either tried to kill him to get away or just knocked him out and fled. I also think that in order to keep running that they took a large sum of money from Clyde and that he is wanting his money back
I think this man kate saw is there dad and there dad did something to make them run away. cause when he saw photos he said that is my girl then said that is my boy. I think he beat them or something bad like that.
