OK - first, very few countries have rockets that could reach the U.S. Fortunately, our neighbors, Canada and Mexico, are friendly and have no desire to bomb us. Second, we have a very effective missile defense system. Any rocket aimed at the U.S. would be detected and blown up long before it got here.
The groups you're hearing about- ISIS and Hamas- are relatively small, with relatively primitive weapons. Also, they are not really interested in the U.S. Hamas wants land from Israel, and ISIS wants to take over Iraq and boot out the Muslim group they don't like. The Russian separatists in Ukraine only want to fight the Ukrainian government.
Think about what happened when 911 happened. NOW think about what would happen if they got a nuke in to an american city and set it off. probably twenty thousand dead and half a million injured, half of them dead in a year, and radiation spread all over the place. can you say MARTIAL LAW? nothing would p i s s off americans more than their freedom being imposed upon. NOW think of a POST NUCLEAR ATTACK America. the 'popular consensus' would be KILL THEM. no worrying about world opinion or offending someone, we would SMASH anyone remotely involved. The world needs to THINK about that, and not sit by the sidelines and let us take the heat, they need to help FIX the problem that POST WWI EUROPE started (making borders in the mideast), and help before anything like that happens, as the world DOESNT WANT a wounded, p i s s e d off america to deal with.
