I had switched on the TV to watch my usual programme called "The Big Breakfast" but this had been cancelled for a news programme for what was happening. I lived on my own in a bedsit at the time, I then bought a newspaper which had an American flag in the middle of it a couple of days later, so I put that in my window for a while.
We in england were so badly affected by the 9/11 atrocities,we were saddened and deeply upset with what took place.
Any tragedy that befalls an ally is something to reflect on, but the randomness of this particular event left us speechless.
Getting ready to go to collage , then after takeing a shower second plane hit the second tower by the time i got to collage the pentagon got hit. Crazy i would never forget it

I was at college at Colorado State and watched the events unfold from the dorm and went and got two friends from NYC and one who was already up whose Dad worked at the Pentagon but had already called to say he was not hurt and not at work. Where were others?
