Judging by their best episodes, both are excellent. I think that the mythology of Lost has both strengths and weaknesses, but Fringe had more continuity and explanation. I enjoyed Fringe more because it is a relatively small cast so I got more attached to the characters, and the romantic plot was better done than in Lost. I do, however, think that Lost had more of an impact on pop culture, but if Fringe had the viewers that Lost had then it would have had a similar impact. All in all, I prefer Fringe.

I love LOST! I never saw fringe though...
Fringe until it jumps the shark with the whole Observer thing near the end. I don't want to say more than that for spoiler reasons. You'll see what I mean when you get there.

I used to watch Lost and thought it was the best show ever, and recently I have gotten into watching Fringe on Netflix, and I think it's better than Lost?
