Seeing how exaggerated the contestant's behavior is vs other countries versions (for instance UK, Australia, New Zealand, or Norway where I live) I can't beleive anything than that this thing is scripted and staged to no end. Sure, some contestants have said it's not, but they're probably still bound by some non-disclosure ****, so they can't say otherwise. I think I've had enough of MC now. I'll still stick with other funny shows like Cutthroat Kitchen.
As I posted elsewhere, I believe in my previous statement: "Masterchef last season Courtney Lapresi won and she admitted to working "as an exotic dancer at Delilah's gentlemen's club". Then her runner up Elizabeth Cauvel made a more complex flawless dish, and Courtney Lapresi made a plain simple dish that others have been marked down for in the past because of the simplicity not meeting standards of Masterchef. I could not believe Courtney Lapresi won Masterchef at such level of competition. I firmly believe, by stringing what Courtney Lapesi had said together, that she "slept with someone" to win. In the past there have been accusations of Chef Ramsey propositioning to sleep with some contestants and threatening to vote them out if they refuse."
Okay,everyone here hates Courtney Lapresi,I don't.Look at Elizabeth,she was so smug all season and couldn't take criticism well.If u check Masterchef Wikipedia,she won more times then Courtney 12-10 and didn't face 1 pressure test.You want to talk about favoritism,Elizabeth got it all season.
Her winning the competition over obviously more capable chefs makes a joke of the whole process. She's got the judges up those petticoats. Especially Ramsey. He's a pushover.

It's true that as women we probably judge other women more harshly than men because we are rarely blinded by a pretty face. She comes out as mean and malicious and reminds me of those popular girls who made other girls miserable that's why it's hard to see her outer beauty when her nasty streak seems to shine. This is the first winner with a horrible personality...I wonder how book sales will go unless men buy the cookbook
I love Elizabeth and Leslie but among the 3 of them, I think Courtney deserved to win and I'm glad she did. She is a great cook, and I love the way she is in the kitchen...she's just enjoying herself and who cares what she does, she is an excellent cook and you people should just shut up and live with it.
Not hate...she is just creepy. Maybe she take some of her winnings and get braces, a nose job, and a coach to teach her how to stand. And lose the 1940's dresses. Ugh. Can't believe she beat Elizabeth. Can't believe Leslie left sugar out of his cake.
She's one of my favorites on there. Pretty much every woman I know hates her. She's good at cooking and she has extremely high confidence - and that's what's needed to win. She'll easily make it to the top 3. She also looks like a girl I used to date so bonus points there.
Shes so fake... Leslie should have won, I bet courtney slept with a producer or Joe or something and had insight to all the challenges....

I wouldn't say I hate her (besides, she IS a good cook, her skills are impressive), but there is something about her that immediately put me off after I first saw her on the screen. I cannot quite explain the feeling.
I don't hate her...but I don't like her ONE BIT. She is EVIL, but you have to admit she can cook. If she wins, I predict her cookbook will be the least-selling cookbook of all time. Who would want to put her on a show or buy one thing from her? NOT ME!
Can't stand her. She does seem to be able to cook but obviously has a smug, bitchy attitude. She presents herself very badly - pretty dresses and stilettos don't hide a crap personality.

I cant stand how she constantly eye f*cks the Judges. Its gross, and disrespectful. Knowing they are all married! She is one of those shady woman who will smile in your face, and stab you in the back ( or try to get attention your man ). It is obvious, especially to other women, and THAT is why we do not like her.

I know of plenty of guys who hate her as much as the women I work with. She's annoying and Ahran was right many episodes back - Courtney is a "fake b%$&*". The camera should stop zooming into her smug, evil, witchy smirking face - and it doesn't help that her crooked, large nose makes her look more like a witch. Whoever is going to say that the negative comments made about her are because people are jealous are wrong. I like the other contestants on this show because of their talent AND their less apparently evil character. I don't care if you're the greatest cook in the world - it doesn't make up for an evil personality.
As a woman, I don't typically like women like Courtney that seem to use their looks instead of their intellect to get ahead. That said, when I heard her story of trying to work 2-3 jobs to put herself through school, then becoming an "aerial dancer" (what is that?!) I thought perhaps I judged too harshly because here is this young woman that will go to great lengths to succeed. She works hard and really CAN cook. Is she a nice person? I honestly don't know, but I bet she isn't as evil as the editing has made her out to be.
