No one will replace David Letterman. He's irreplaceable. Of course, back in 1992 people said Jay Leno could never be funnier than Johnny Carson... and he was.
Not sure. to the person above - Robin Williams is 62 yrs. old. They 're looking for some young blood. Maybe an unknown - a writer from a comedy show.
I think maybe Craig Ferguson will move to the 11:35 slot, or even Conan O'Brien could come back. I always enjoyed David's show. Someone said that CBS is frantically looking for someone named "Jimmy" to compete with Kimmel and Fallon.
There are only two approaches.
1)Spend a lot of money, and get a high profile ,superstar host
2)get a young unknown, and build for the future
I bet number 2,an unknown (to the general public,probably a writer,or maybe a comic).
Im glad he's retiring while he's still funny.
CBS needs someone good who can compete against NBC and ABC. Maybe if Robin Williams' show, The Crazy Ones doesn't work out, maybe he can do the show.
god forbid he was ever on the air, a juvenile vulgarian
And how do you feel about his retirement?
