TV Shows: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, eh that's kind of it. I don't fall into the trap of family guy and all those animated racist pieces to crap.
Movies: there have been some pretty funny movies. Step Brothers was amazing. We are the Millers came out last year and I loved that. The Internship too. The first Hangover movie. The Change-Up was the best. Of course I'm forgetting The 2 top comedies: Ted (it's by the guy who does Family Guy, but it isn't as racist and stupid) and the best, 21 Jump Street. The Campaign was ok, although most of it was just Will Ferrell cursing.
There are a few good ones on tv (you did ask in the tv section). I like New Girl and Portlandia and The Big Bang Theory. I agree about movies though ... they just can't get it right. There are more funny parts in drama movies than in comedies.
Yeah, back in the good old days we had works of genius like Police Academy and Porkies.
it's all toilet and grossout humor now , as our education system deteriorates and even the colleges have low standards there are no comic geniuses or even musical geniuses coming through soon only cartoons will be made
I agree I like big bang because its cleaver but are we getting stupider or are trying to get us stupider

I have not seen a good comedy hell not even half decent that has been in theaters in the past maybe 15 years
