Because there is a lot of interest in the current story line about Nick Cotton's funeral. There is going to be a twist in it somewhere. Perhaps he's not really dead, and it is someone else in the funeral coffin as I am suspicious about the new bloke who claims to be Nick's son. Dot did not know he had a son! I'm probably wrong but there is something in the wind, and there are a lot of followers of Eastenders.
They do this from time to time, and yes, they did miss an episode last Friday.
