That may be a little exaggerating on their part, but this is because the hurricane WONT ONLY BE a hurricane.. its going to mix with 2 other ice-storms to combine and make a hybrid-storm..

You are supposed to board up windows from outside and have canned goods flashlights that u can wind up for power instead of having to rely on batteries. Water anything that will help. Also if u have pets you must always keep medical records on hand every pet owner should own a muzzle that fits perfect on their dog just because of some stories I have hear of the past that sometimes its needed because some pets get so nervous they can bite.wen they are scared and near people they don't know. Seek help if needed. I hope and wish this storm dissolves and does not cause horrific problems.
Hurricane Katrina was a single storm cell. Hurricane sandy is projected meet with a noreaster, and then the jet stream will stir it up and push it inland on NY and CT. Would they tell us anyway? If it was projected to kill everyone, they wouldn't even say it.
dont know. im in nj and its suppost to hit our area pretty hard. All i can say is best of luck. keep canned goods, flashlights, all the necessities you would usually have in case of an emergency in stock. All we can do is wait it out honestly

My mom said it will... It's supposedly a category 1, while Katrina was a category 5, so I don't know where her logic came from. Can someone correct me, is this true? How bad will it be you think. We live in a primarily brick house, will it be destroyed? I've never really dealt with a hurricane here in PA. All the help would be awesome. How should I prepare, etc. The more i know the better.
